With over a decade of experience recruiting across the engineering industry in New Zealand, Alex has built an extensive network of professionals and consultancies throughout the country. His expertise focuses on the core disciplines that shape the built environment, including Structural, Civil, Geotechnical, and Building Services Engineering.
Alex established Pontis People to provide a more personal, specialist recruitment service to engineering consultancies and professionals. By operating as a boutique consultancy, he works closely with clients and candidates alike, offering clear advice, strong market insight, and a recruitment process designed to be efficient and transparent.
Over the course of his career, Alex has supported engineers at every stage of their professional journey, from graduate roles through to senior leadership appointments. One of the most rewarding aspects of his work has been seeing engineers he placed early in their careers progress to become chartered engineers, technical leaders, and business owners within the New Zealand engineering community.
